For students who breath triathlons

Meet the enthusiastic board members of F.A.S.T. Wageningen.

The Chair

Meet Kars Hilbrands, our enthusiastic Chair.

Hi, my name is Kars. For the past few years, I’ve studied at the University of Twente in Enschede, where I was introduced to triathlon. My time with the Enschede student triathlon association Aloha meant a lot to me. When I came to Wageningen, I missed an association like this. That’s why I started this initiative. I’d like to offer you what I’ve experienced: a close-knit, motivating, and supportive association where you work together to get the best out of yourself. As chairman I will do my best to accomplish this. For now, I would like to wish you a wonderful time at our association!

The Treasurer

Meet Jade Harm, our hardworking treasurer.

Hi, my name is Jade and I’ll be FAST’s Treasurer next year. In March of this year, I rode a racing bike for the first time, and I was instantly hooked! I bought one myself in April, and I can’t imagine life without it now. I also love running, because it gives you such a sense of accomplishment. I see it as a wonderful challenge to build this club from the ground up, and I’m already curious to see where we’ll be in a year.

The Secretary

Meet Robert Lehr, our dedicated secretary.

Hi i’m Robert, i’ve always been keen on sports and the past few years triathlon in particular. When i found out about the initiative to start a triathlon association i quickly knew i would want to play a role in building F.A.S.T.
To me sports is about personal developement, community and a touch of competitiveness, and that is what i hope to bring this association. I look forward to find out what this year will have to bring.

Commissioner of general affairs

Meet Maarten Tempelman, our resident generalist.

Hi there, my name is Maarten. I’ve been enthusiastic about sports throughout my life, but what I enjoyed most was cycling. Although I thoroughly enjoy cycling, it can become a bit monotonous. This is why I began dabbling in triathlons, as I find that they break up the week into different exercises, and it forces me to use more than just my legs. When I heard that there was a student triathlon association in the pipes, I immediately wanted to help make it happen. This is why I joined the board, to help us get where we want to be.
